R.I.P. New Years Resolution

Yesterday I decided not to write anything, so today the Daily Notes Project died peacefully in its sleep at 12:00 a.m. PST. A DNR order was in effect, and no resuscitation was attempted. The remains of the Daily Notes Project will be cremated on Friday, and sprinkled over the interweb. No services will be held.

  1. Aw-w-w darn. On the other hand, it was tough keeping up with all the commenting. I'll zone in on the pictures.

  2. It seemed like a good idea at the time (like eating cheesecake every day) but lately the days have been getting away from me, and writing at 11:30 p.m. was yielding some pretty poor results. Maybe next year I'll go for one half way decent poem or story a week.

  3. Well, I think you gave it a galant effort. Can you imagine columnists who have to produce on a daily basis? I'd think that would take the fun out of writing...perhaps you experienced a similar pressure.

  4. Thanks Alana. I was more worried that bad writing would take the fun out of reading. Once I realized there was no way I'd be able to make it 365 days without posting some real junk from time to time just to keep the streak going I decided to end it quickly instead of drag it out. You’re right, those daily columnist have a tough gig.
