Half Moon Bay

I hope to begin the next few mornings just like today… snorkeling Half Moon Bay. The varieties of corals, creatures, and fish are amazing. The slower you swim, and the closer you look, the more you see. I think I could drift around all day among these colorful inhabitants of the reef, and be as happy as a sea turtle.” After seeing this, I think the life of clam is way over rated.

  1. You say the life of a clam is over rated, yet a thought occurs to me, the clam gets to see every day all the things we wonder at when we glimpse into his world. I do not say envy the clam, but do not undersell his life in the ocean, he sees and knows what we only ponder.
I hope you are having a lot of fun.

  2. And both are eaten by humans and other predators. Never had sea turtle but I'd take a big ol' bucket O clams anyday.

Sounds wonderful where you are, expecting LOTS of pictures when you get back.

  3. Snorkling is one of the most relaxing pastimes I've ever experienced. Time just floats by unnoticed. Sounds like you're having a blast!

  4. Had a great time! Thanks all:)

Charity you're right, the term "happy as a clam" comes from someplace I don't understand. All and all though I think I'd still rather fly like a sea turtle than burrow under the sand.
